LARA KORBA

LARA KORBA
Voice Actor. Singer. Goofball.
Hi, I'm Lara!
I live in Los Angeles, quite a long way from Upstate New York, where I grew up. I’m the youngest of three and was raised by my widowed dad, so from a young age I found comfort in Disney movies, where the majority of protagonists are also missing a mom (...odd). This ignited my love for musical theatre, and I began to act out musicals and write skits with my friends during recess, jumping at the chance to audiion for children’s theatres as soon as I was old enough.

When I wasn’t in rehearsal for the next musical, I would spend hours watching my older brother play video games on his PlayStation. He never let me play, but I was content to watch the stories unfold. When my brother moved away, he left behind his PlayStation, and I got to experience playing the sequels to the games I’d grown up watching.

For college, I attended Viterbo University, where I earned a BFA in Musical Theatre. While I grew as an actor and singer, I began to feel stifled by the parameters placed on performers' physical appearance in the theatre world. After some soul searching, and thinking back to what had excited me as a kid, I realized that voice acting was exactly what I’d been looking for, and as soon as I graduated, I left behind my dreams of the stage, and refocused exclusively on voiceover.

I’ve since relocated to Los Angeles, and have learned from dozens of industry professionals. I’ve worked on video games, commercials, audio dramas, and I can’t wait to do more!
